CT Scan

Fast multislice CT with low-dose protocols for chest, abdomen, trauma and CT angiography.

About this study

Our multislice CT captures an entire body region in a single short breath-hold, producing thin-slice images that can be reconstructed in any plane and in 3D.

Every protocol is dose-optimised: we scan only the region your doctor needs, at the lowest radiation dose that still answers the clinical question.

What we commonly image

  • Contrast & plain studies
  • CT angiography
  • Low-dose lung screening
  • Trauma and emergency imaging
  • Kidney stones and abdominal pain
  • Sinus, temporal bone and dental views
  • Cancer staging and follow-up

What to expect on the day

  1. Check in

We review your prescription and, for contrast studies, your kidney function report and allergy history.

  2. Positioning

You lie on the CT table; the gantry spins around you — nothing touches you.

  3. A few breath-holds

The technologist will ask you to hold your breath briefly for chest and abdomen scans. If contrast is used, you may feel a brief warm flush — this is normal.

  4. Done in minutes

Most CT visits, start to finish, take under 20 minutes.

How to prepare

  • Inform us of any kidney problems, allergies or metformin use.
  • Fast for a few hours before a contrast study — we'll tell you exactly how long when you book.
  • Bring a recent creatinine report if you have one; we can arrange the test if not.
  • Drink water freely after a contrast scan to help clear the dye.
